Kaunas 2022 community programme “We, the People” invites artists from various fields of art to emerge themselves into the process of COCREATION in the courtyards around Kaunas City and Kaunas District!

Fluxus Courtyard is looking for artists from various fields of art! Could this be you?

• when creating, you find the process itself and work with people important;
• when working in unusual places, you are ready to look for creative solutions to include the community;
• you are ready to curate and lead the creative process for two months together with the selected courtyard community;
• you like the ideas of the Fluxus movement and you are open to surprises!

The programme of Fluxus Courtyard:
Artists + courtyard community = Fluxus Courtyards, space for creation and all the things unexpected
The aim of the artists participating in Fluxus Courtyard programme is to summon the local communities for co-creation by September 7, address the challenge(s) named by the community, encourage active contribution and participation in community art processes and create the final project (object, installation, performance, etc.).
The artist is responsible for creative and organisational activities in the courtyard selected, development of the co-creation process and introduction of the final result.

How is it going to happen?
All artists that submitted their creative ideas for the courtyards will be evaluated by the committee that will consist of representatives of both – the selected courtyard community members and Kaunas 2022. Each selected artist will have idea realisation costs covered (up to 4000 EUR).

Deadlines:

• The call is open from May 15 to June 17 (inclusive);
• Artists selected to participate in the project will be announced on June 26;
• The final creative projects will be presented on September 7 during the Fluxus Festival.
