“Kaunas – European Capital of Culture 2022” program “Emerging Kaunas” is looking for participants for an online workshop who will help to shape the program of Youth Season organized in the year 2022 as part of the “Kaunas 2022” event program.

We aim to develop events that are relevant to your generation. Selected curatorial concepts might get a budget and organizational support to realize them – you have a unique chance to work on something that will leave a mark.

Check these criteria to find out if you are eligible for this free program:

• You are Lithuanian or are currently based in Lithuania
• You are 18-29 years old
• You can work and communicate in English
• You are interested in culture, event design, and management
• In addition to short weekly online calls, you can devote a minimum 5-10 hours a week to this free online program to work on assignments in a team
• You have a reliable internet connection

Please note that the workshop of Young Curators of Youth Season 2022 program is not for artists, but for curators, cultural managers, cultural event organizers, or for people who are eager to become one.

What you will learn:

In the course of the workshop, which will take place from 20th of August to 18th of September, 2020, you will receive know-how about curating cultural projects while working on a real challenge – the programme of an upcoming event during Kaunas European Cultural Capital of Culture in 2022.

Aside from concept development, during the program, we will also cover practical aspects of complete program preparation such as audience surveys and research, communication with artists and potential partners, budget planning, and project communication.

Workshop will be hosted by Maxim Dedushkov (Hungary), Michala Lipkova (Czech Republic) ir Dana Olărescu (United Kingdom).
