Oulu 2026: open call for programme proposals
The City of Oulu is bidding to be the European Capital of Culture (ECoC) in 2026 when it is the next time for a Finnish city to hold the title.
The aim of the ECoC is to promote the development of cities through culture, to highlight the richness of European cultures and the common cultural heritage and to promote mutual understanding and dialogue.
The Oulu 2026 European Capital of Culture project has launched an open call for proposals that is addressed to everyone.
People from Europe and around the world are invited to participate in the call for proposals.
The purpose is to find the most interesting programme proposals that will become part of our European Capital of Culture Bid Book.
All proposals submitted must be in line with the main objective of the European Capital of Culture application, Cultural Climate Change and be linked to one of the following themes: Hinterland, Contrasts or Wild City.
An open programme call process will be held from February 11th to May 31st, 2019.
