Famous interwar architect Edmundas Frykas prepared two projects of a house for the famous law professor and active citizen Petras Leonas. In 1924 another engineer Leonas Ritas took over the job, using the plan already prepared and adhering to the same aesthetic conception. The house was heightened, and new composition of the upper part was created. The layout of the apartments is varied, with many utility rooms and pantries provided. Next to the main stairway office spaces for privately practicing attorneys, physicians and statesmen (all tenants of the house) were envisaged.
