House of Sonia and Samuelis Muškatai

Former House of Sonia and Samuel Muškatai, owners of an iron and weapons shop. Project author – engineer Leiba Zimanas. The building was erected in front of the house of Antanas Tumėnas, the Prime Minister of Lithuania at that time. He filed a fierce complaint with the court that he was deceived by the fact that when he built the house, he had a beautiful panorama in front of the house and that the new house blocks that the beautiful view. He even called the building a “pornographic figure” in front of his home. After the complaint, Muškatienė adjusted the design of the rear facades, which was facing Tumėnai House.
