The builder of this house was Lithuanian diplomat Bronius Edmundas Dailidė. From 1921 he held various positions in the governments of the Republic of Lithuania, was an extraordinary envoy and an authorized minister to Latvia, Estonia and Finland. After the Soviet occupation of Lithuania, Bronius Dailidė was dismissed from office and moved to the West around 1940.

The residential house project near the Winter Port was prepared by architect Stasys Kudokas. 9 rooms were planned on each floor, part of which was intended not only for private family life, but also for active diplomatic activities and receptions. In the basement there were living quarters for the guard. The overall composition of the building’s façade is enlivened by abstract ornaments typical of architect Stasys Kudokas.
