Gintarė Masteikaitė is a culture manager, producer, head of projects actively working in Lithuanian and abroad for more than ten years. Her focus is on contemporary dance and circus, also on contemporary dance plays for children and toddlers.
Since 2017, Gintarė has been leading the Lithuanian Dance Information Centre and organising the biggest event of performance art in Lithuania – an international contemporary dance festival New Baltic Dance. She specialises in producing modern dance plays and presenting them abroad (at international art fairs, festivals, various theatres of Europe, Canada, the Americas and Asia), promoting cross-continental collaboration, working with the communities of contemporary dance and circus, developing the audience of performative art.
She became the curator of international activities for a dance theatre Dansema in 2015, and from the year 2016 to 2018, this theatre’s productions were presented more than 200 times in Asia, Europe and North America. Since 2015, Gintarė is an active member of the community of contemporary circus, coordinating the festival New Circus Weekend (organised by Arts Printing House). She’s participating in the work of international performance art networks and platforms such as Kedia, IPAY, ISPA, SUBCASE, Baltic Nordic Circus network, Aerowaves, Circusnext.
