Curated by Karolina Jakaitė, the exhibition presents the stories of Lithuanian graphic design in the second half of the 20th century. Posters and their sketches, boxes, and branding projects tell not only about the history of design, the creators and their works, but also speak in their own way about time, identity, sustainability, and reflect the current issues of today. In 1984, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Tara bureau, the Kaunas Exhibition Hall hosted the Republican Exhibition of Applied Graphic Art, which was attended by more than 100 creators. We present the reconstructed first exhibition of applied graphic art by the Tara Bureau, which brings to life more than half a century of Lithuanian graphic design tradition.
