Linara Dovydaitytė (Ph.D. in art history) is an associate professor in Art History at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas (Lithuania) and a research fellow in Museum Studies at Tartu University (Estonia). Her current research interests include memory culture and museum studies, nuclear aesthetics in art, and representations of industrial heritage in contemporary culture. Her recent publications include co-authored monographs ‘Communicating Culture: Institutions, Strategies, Audiences’ (VMU Press, 2015, in Lithuanian) and ‘Learning the Nuclear: Educational Tourism in (Post)Industrial Sites’ (Peter Lang, 2021). Since 2021 she is involved in two international research projects ‘NuSPACES: Communities, Materialities and Locations of Nuclear Cultural Heritage’ (funded by the Research Council of Lithuania in the framework of JPI CH) and ‘MNEMUS: Practices and Challenges of Mnemonic Pluralism in Baltic History Museums’ (funded by the Estonian Research Council).
