{"id":105743,"date":"2022-03-14T07:58:43","date_gmt":"2022-03-14T07:58:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kaunas2022.eu\/?post_type=atviri_kvietimai&#038;p=105743"},"modified":"2022-04-25T20:15:14","modified_gmt":"2022-04-25T20:15:14","slug":"we-invite-you-to-take-part-in-a-storytelling-training","status":"publish","type":"atviri_kvietimai","link":"https:\/\/kaunas2022.eu\/en\/kvietimai\/we-invite-you-to-take-part-in-a-storytelling-training\/","title":{"rendered":"We invite you to take part in a storytelling training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8211; WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR?<\/p>\n<p>The training is for anyone interested in the art of storytelling.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to provide knowledge and experience in using the power of stories as a tool in participants&#8217; professional activities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; WHAT IS THIS TRAINING?<\/p>\n<p>The training will consist of three phases:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Introductory 3-hour online session (28 April 2022);<\/li>\n<li>5 module interactive online self-training course (May-September 2022);<\/li>\n<li>3 hour face-to-face experiential training (October 2022).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important<\/strong>. The training will be conducted in English.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Introductory 3-hour online session<\/strong> <strong>will cover the following topics:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The neuroscience of narrative<\/li>\n<li>The foundation of narrative training<\/li>\n<li>Confidence building of participants<\/li>\n<li>How it is all going to work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interactive online self-training course will consist of 5 modules:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Forming the Group. &#8211; Creating safety and trust. The importance of boundaries. Deconstructing\u202fnarratives and identifying sources.<\/li>\n<li>Creating the Vision &#8211; Facilitating the group to create shared visions. Identifying the threats.<\/li>\n<li>Planning the Journey &#8211; Facilitating the group to identify next steps and how they will overcome possible threats.<\/li>\n<li>Checking the compass &#8211; Training in techniques that enable people to review, reflect and implement change when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>(Optional Module) &#8211; Sharing the Journey &#8211; how to create resources for others to use including useful stories and techniques.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This training course will be independently followed by participants; however they are able to leave questions, upload videos and check out a range of additional material that will be available on the platform.<\/p>\n<p>Duration per module: 45 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3 hour face-to-face experiential training <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The meeting will be designed to put into practice the skills acquired during the training.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will take place within the framework of the storytelling programme &#8220;Where can I find you?&#8221; organised by Kaunas 2022 (see more here: <a href=\"https:\/\/kultura.kaunas.lt\/renginys\/istoriju-pasakojimu-programa-kur-man-tave-rasti-63\/5252\">https:\/\/kultura.kaunas.lt\/renginys\/istoriju-pasakojimu-programa-kur-man-tave-rasti-63\/5252<\/a>). It is hoped that the participants, together with the trainer, will become facilitators of the \u2018Future Narrative\u2019 event, which is part of this programme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important.<\/strong> Depending on the world situation at the time, a live meeting in Kaunas or a remote event is planned.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; WHO WILL LEAD THE TRAINING?<\/p>\n<p>The storytelling training will be led by Katrice Horsley (UK), a professional storyteller and consultant, founder of Narrative4Change. Narrative4Change aims to highlight how narrative-based training can be used as a powerful tool for community development, organisational change, skills, education and personal development.
