Mild‘ Power (Milda Grikšaitė-Jankuvienė) http://dizainaskaune.lt/en/sritis/mild-power-milda-griksaite-jankuviene-2/ Tue, 17 Aug 2021 12:12:49 +0000 http://dizainaskaune.lt/?post_type=sritis&p=2083 Mild Power is a young and innovative clothing brand featuring bright, recycled tulle and denim garments inspired by sports, music and fairy tale heroes. Each collection focuses on colors and silhouettes, thus creating innovative textiles, clothing and accessories with artistic originality. Mild Power has a very exclusive vision of fashion and allows the client to freely express youthful, nutty but non-conformist personal and stage style.

2018 in the years after her bachelor’s studies, designer Milda began to search for and apply a new principle of sustainability in fashion, thus creating the first collection of tulle scraps. Such experiments dictated the further direction of the master’s studies – Textile Art and Media at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, during which the creative style of the designer was developed, focusing on sustainability and especially recycling. Milda developed a completely new technique of stuffing tulle, which the commission called painting tulle during the defense of the master’s thesis, when tulle fragments and remnants are stuffed between two transparent fabrics, thus creating fluffy, colorful and picturesque silhouettes. Mild Power’s vision is not to follow trends or style or even aesthetics, but to transcend the realm of design in a way that expresses a mirage of artistic illusions.
